LOVELY LITTON
Holborn Cottage is just as stones throw from Litton’s beautiful village green. The village has a community run shop, with fresh cakes and the well regarded Red Lion pub opened in 1778.
Litton can certainly be described as one of the most attractive villages in the Peak District with many pretty 17th and 18th century houses, set around a large village green where you can find an ancient market cross,  wooden stocks and a quaint village pub.
Litton lies one mile east of Tideswell where you can find a larger selection of restaurants and shops, five miles from Bakewell, eight miles from Buxton, 10 miles from Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall.
There are superb local walks that start from the Holborn Cottage’s front door which pass through Tideswell Dale, Litton Mill, Cressbrook Dale, Millers Dale and the Monsal Trail.

EDGES AND MOORS
There is a reason why the Peak District was the first area to be designated a national Park. In 1951, it was decided that this stunning landscape should be preserved.  There are many fabulous walks which can involve miles of off the beaten track routes. There are also some great walks and views accessible on gravels paths and with parking nearby.
Have a look at Stanage Edge & Higger Tor. Burbage Edge has its own parking area and level (ish)
walk, with the Fox House pub at the end!
Curbar Edge is also an easy stroll and pretty good for su
nsets!
